The Hollywood Hills Regency House remodel took place in a little over one year.
When SentireDesign was brought onboard,
the Client had just closed escrow, and the furniture and decorations of the previous owner were still at the house.
The space felt crammed, outdated and dull.
With just a little bit over 1,300 square feet to work with, selecting a plain color palette for the structural elements of the house was definitely the key. The goal in redesigning this traditional house was to create a neutral canvas and add layers of light that would enhance the Client’s colorful art collection.
The new interior design of the house evokes the Parker Hotel in Palm Springs, of which the Client particularly admired the stark white walls and the rich fabrics.
In the master bedroom is a portrait of Yma Sumac, a well-known Peruvian soprano whom the Client knew personally. It was fascinating to hear his stories about her.
In the dining room are some other favorites, the Nancy Sinatra painting and the Female On The Beach portrait of Joan Crawford,
both by artist Stephen Tashjian.
